Aidan is a petrologist & geochemist with a particular interest in achondrites, specialising in ureilite meteorites including working on multiple samples from the 2008 Almahata Sitta fall.

Aidan is also a consultant for New Mexico Meteoritic Services, collecting and using electron microprobe geochemical data of different types of meteorite for official classification, and inclusion of the samples in the University of New Mexico Meteorite Museum collection where they are then available to researchers worldwide.
